Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the order No.2953/RB/2018 dated 23.04.2019 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to sanction and disburse the gratuity to the petitioner on the basis of the Petitioner's 41 years of Service within a time limit to be fixed by this Hon'ble court.

ORDER

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner passed away in the year 2022, pending the Writ Petition. She sent a notice to one of the legal heir of the petitioner (since deceased). However, the legal heir has not come forward to file any substitution application to prosecute the Writ Petition further, and to that effect, a memo is also filed on 10.12.2024. 2/4

2. In that view of the matter, the Writ Petition is closed as having abated upon the death of the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
