The petitioner is an employee of Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "TASMAC"). The District Manager, TASMAC passed an order dated 23.01.2014, terminating the service of the petitioner on account of the alleged misconduct. The said order was challenged before the respondent by way of a statutory appeal. The present request is to direct the respondent to dispose of the said appeal on merits.
2. The learned Standing Counsel for TASMAC, on instructions, submitted that the respondent would dispose of the appeal, within a period of eight weeks.
3. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
