Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the loan application dated 31.10.2014 made by the petitioner for grant of educational loan to undergo B.E.- Computer Science and Engineering Course during the academic years 2014-2018 at Sai Ram Engineering College, West Tambaram, Chennai and sanction the same.

Heard Mr.V.Suthakar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Kalyanaraman, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Bank.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the loan application dated 31.10.2014 made by the petitioner for grant of educational loan to undergo B.E.-Computer Science and Engineering Course during the academic years 2014-2018 at Sai Ram Engineering College, West Tambaram, Chennai and sanction the same.

3. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Bank, on instructions, submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner for grant of education loan for him to pursue the B.E.-Computer Science and Engineering Course during the academic years 2014-2018 at Sai Ram Engineering College, West Tambaram, Chennai is under active consideration and within a period of two weeks, the loan amount will be sanctioned to the petitioner as per the norms of the respondentBank.

4. Recording the above submission made by the learned Standing counsel for the respondent-Bank, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
