This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking protection from harassment under the guise of enquiry.

2. The complaint has been given by one Dhanalakshmi against this petitioner alleging harassment. She claims that the petitioner married her in a temple and they are living as husband and wife and there is a matrimonial cruelty. In this connection, the respondent police has summoned the petitioner herein for enquiry.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police on instructions from the Investigating Officer submits that if the petitioner participate in the enquiry and place records to show that there was no matrimonial cruelty, the same will be looked up on and appropriate decision will be taken on the complaint given by the said Dhanalakshmi.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to conduct enquiry in accordance with law and proceed further in the manner known to law. 27.06.2024 Vv 2/4
