ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner is the wife of the detenu - Karthi, S/o Venkatesan, aged about 39 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in Ref.C3.D.O.No.87/2020 dated 09.10.2020, holding him to be a "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.5192 Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 27.11.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
