Prayer : Appeal filed under Section 54 of Land Acquisition Act to set aside the order dated 12.12.2019 passed by the Additional District Judge at Karaikal in LAOP No.48 of 2017 by allowing the above appeal. For Appellant :

R.Kamaraj C O M M O N J U D G M E N T (Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) All these appeals are against the award of the Sub Court at Karaikal made in references under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 [hereinafter referred to as "the Act"]. In respect of the very same notification made under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, several awards were made by the Sub Court, Karaikal, in references under Section 18 of the Act. One such award was made in LAOP No. 46 of 2017. The said award was appealed against in AS No.546 of 2023. The said appeal was disposed of by a Division Bench to which one of us (R.Subramanian J) 2/4

was a Member. In the said appeal, the award granted fixing the value of the land of Rs.1,50,000/- per Are was confirmed. The learned counsel for the parties would submit that the lands, which are the subject matter of these appeals are also covered by the notification and acquisition was also for the same purpose. Hence, following the earlier judgement, all these appeals are dismissed confirming the award granted by the reference Court. Consequently, all connected Civil Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
