ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's son viz., R.Siva, S/o.Ramalingam, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her son Siva, aged about 21 years, went missing from 13.08.2021 and that, despite complaint to the police, no effective steps have been taken for securing him. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present habeas corpus petition.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that Siva had eloped with one Kalpana, a minor girl, pursuant to which, on a complaint given by Vijayalakshmi, mother of Kalpana, a case in Koradachery Police Station Crime No.468 of 2021 was registered on 02.08.2021 for 'girl missing' and after Kalpana was secured, the case has now been altered to one under Section 366-A IPC and Section 6 r/w 5(i) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, against Siva, on 14.08.2021 and that the police are looking out for Siva for effecting arrest. He also submitted that Siva is not in the custody of the police so far.
