The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.03.2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 409, 420 r/w 34 and 120(B) of IPC and Section 5 of TNPID Act, 1997, in Crime No.10 of 2024, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused, in the guise of running a Company in the name of V4V Enterprises promised that, if anybody deposits Rs.1 lakh, they would be given Rs.20,000/- per month. Thereby, the petitioner has induced the defacto complainant to invest Rs.9,00,000/- and cheated him. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's name does not finds place in the FIR and he was only implicated by way of a confession statement of co-accused. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner was arrested by LOC proceedings at Dubai.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 21.05.2025 ata/ep To 1.The Inspector of Police, Economic Offence Wing - II, Ashok Nagar, Chennai.
