ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who is complainant in Crime No.76 of 2021 apprehends assault and threat to her life from the named accused in Crime No.76 of 2021. In view of the same, seeks direction to provide police protection.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that her son was done to death and Crime No. 16 of 2020 came to be registered. The assailants in Crime No.76 of 2021 had threatened the petitioner to withdraw the case in Crime No.76 of 2021 and not to pursue the same.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for respondents would submit that the F.I.R. in Crime No.16 of 2020 is not the case of murder, it is a case registered for offence under Sec.279 and 304-A I.P.C. The investigation completed and charge sheet filed. The accused in Crime No.76 of 2021 and the accused viz., Arulmurugan, son of Kasilangam in Crime No.16 of 2020 are different persons. He would further submit that there is no threat for both the petitioner and her son's life and security. If there is any specific instance on the complaint of the petitioner, immediately, action would be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
