Heard Mr.A.Veeramani, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the third respondent authority to give permission to conduct the dance programme at Kiluvankattur, Elayamuttur Post, Udumalpet, Thirupur District Pin 642 159, festival of Arulmighu Pudu Mariamman Thirukoil from 10.03.2015 to 12.03.2015 by considering his representation dated 18.02.2015.

3. Admittedly, the respondents are the law enforcing agencies and are the best persons to regulate the law and order situation in the locality. Therefore, no positive direction as prayed for by the petitioner can be issued by this Court directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the dance programme on the eve of the temple festival. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to pursue his representation before the authorities concerned, who shall consider the same in accordance with law. No costs.
