This sub-application has been filed praying to reopen the contempt petition in Contempt Petition No.1337 of 2022 dated 15.07.2022. 1/3

2. Pursuant to the earlier order passed by this Court on 14.07.2023, the Director of Medical Education is present before this Court. A compliance report was filed along with G.O.(D).No.854, Health and Family Welfare (AA2) Department, dated 18.07.2023. It is seen that the absent period from 29.02.2016 to 06.07.2017 has been regularized by virtue of the above Government Order and it has also been communicated to the Madras Medical College, Chennai. What remains is the disbursement of the salary dues and retirements benefits to the petitioner pursuant to the regularization of the absence period. The Director of Medical Education, who was present before this Court assured that the same will be followed up and the attendant benefits will be paid to the petitioner. Learned Additional Government Pleader also submitted the communication that was made in this regard dated 28.07.2013. In view of the above, this sub-application is closed and there shall be a direction to the respondent to follow up and ensure that the attendant benefits are paid to the petitioner at the earliest.
