Respondents PRAYER:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2020 and consequently direct the respondent to correct the wrong entries of the date of birth of the petitioner in the school records maintained by the respondent from 15.06.1964 to the petitioner's original date of birth 12.04.1966 in favour of the petitioner within a period fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 10.02.2020, wherein, the petitioner has sought for the correction of the entries made in the School records, wherein, according to the petitioner, instead of mentioning the date of birth as 12.04.1966, it has been wrongly mentioned as 15.06.1964.

2. In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner had completed his school in the year 1985 and he has sought for correcting the date of birth after nearly 36 years. The claim made by the petitioner is liable to be rejected on the ground of inordinate delay. At this length of time, it is not possible to give a direction to the respondents to make the corrections in the school records. Thus, the relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted.
