Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to confer permanent status to the petitioner w.e.f., 18.10.2002 with all attended monetary benefits in terms of order dated 06.08.2019 passed by the Assistant Commissioner of Labour, Thanjavur in Na.Ka.No.3271/14 under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments conferment of (Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981 and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2020.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to confer permanent status to the petitioner w.e.f., 18.10.2002 with all attended monetary benefits in terms of order dated 06.08.2019 passed by the Assistant Commissioner of Labour, Thanjavur in Na.Ka.No.3271/14 under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments conferment of (Permanent Status to Page No.2 of 6
Workmen) Act, 1981 and by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2020.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondents/corporation have filed a writ petition before the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in W.P(MD)No.13959 of 2021, challenging the order Na.Ka.No.A/3271/2014 and the same was partly allowed. Hence, he prayed this Court that the present writ petition may be closed.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 18.08.2023 dpa/vm Index :
