ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking Mandamus to direct the respondents to delete the name of the petitioner from the history sheet in H.S.No.3/20 in Rowdy List on the file of the second respondent based on the petitioners representation dated 18.01.2025 within stipulated time.

2. The brief facts of the case as per the affidavit enclosed to this Writ Petition are that the petitioner is studying in Law college and he has been discharging social activities towards poor and downtrodden people. The second respondent police registered three cases against the petitioner in Crime Nos.07 & 09 of 2017 and 40 of 2020 and his name was included in the "Rowdy History Sheet from 2020 in the respondent police station. According to the petitioner, he has been falsely implicated in the above cases, and thereby, he made a representation to the 1st respondent, requesting to remove his name from the

Rowdy History Sheet, but there was no response till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice that if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.01.2025.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that they will consider the representation of the petitioner and will pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a specific time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either sides, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated

18.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merit and in the manner known to law, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
