ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Gurunathan, the learned Additional Government Pleader for R1 to R3. There is no representation for the petitioner.

2. The petitioner who claims to be the wife of the deceased Government Employee by name Mohan Raj has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to disburse the terminal benefits of Mohan Raj.

3. Mr.P.Gurunathan, the learned Additional Government Pleader, submitted that one Vijayalakshmi has claimed as wife of the deceased Mohan Raj and she has filed a suit before the learned District Munsif, Arakkonam in O.S.No.33/2020 by impleading this petitioner as party to the proceedings. It is further submitted that the legal heirship certificate issued to the petitioner has also been cancelled.

4. Unless the marital status of the petitioner is confirmed, the respondents cannot be directed to disburse the terminal benefits of the deceased.

5. In view of the above observation, this writ petition is disposed. No costs.
