ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to settle the family pension arrears payable to the Petitioner's mother from July 2002 to February 2018 with 12% interest. 2.The Petitioner's limited prayer before this Court is that to issue a direction to the Respondent to settle the family pension arrears payable to the her mother from July 2002 to February 2018 with 12% interest. 3.There is no dispute on the point that the Petitioner's Mother viz., Neelavathi was admitted for family pension, subsequent to the death of employee Chakkrapani, Neelavathi died on 20.04.2019. Subsequent to the death of Neelavathi and Chakkrapani, their daughter/Petitioner has filed this Petition, seeking to get the family pension arrears payable to her deceased Mother from 13.07.2002 to February 2018. 4.Heard, Mr.D.Soundar Raj, learned counsel for the Petitioner and 2/4
Mr.Sivasubramani, learned counsel for the Respondent. 4.Learned counsel for the Respondent submitted that he has no objection to the fact that the Petitioner's mother Neelavathi was admitted for family pension of late Chakkrapani. However, he is not able to ascertain from which period the family pension arrears is due. Hence the Petitioner is directed to give representation to the Respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the Respondent shall consider the same, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representation and settle the family pension arrears, for whichever period the Petitioner's Mother is found to be eligible. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
