Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant 28 days ordinary leave without escort to my brother namely Paraman @ Paramasivan S/o. Sivan, who is a Life Convict prisoner vide No.20511 and PID No.43198, aged about 32 years, who is presently confined in Central Prison, Coimbatore, by considering my representation given on 22.04.2025. 1/4

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN,J.) Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner's brother is undergoing life sentence in Central Prison, Coimbatore. He has so far spent 8 years in prison. He is eligible for 28 days ordinary leave.

3. We direct the 1st respondent to grant 28 days ordinary leave to the prisoner without escort. The prisoner shall be released from prison on 28.05.2025 at 10.00 a.m. He shall return to the prison on 24.06.2025 @ 5.00 p.m. During the leave period the prisoner shall sign twice a day before the Melapalayam Police Station, Tirunelveli District at 8.30 a.m and 6.30 p.m.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order 2/4

as to costs.
