This Writ Petition has been preferred by the petitioner, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to his family to participate in the Thiruvizha and Worship the God based on his representation dated 05.05.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 4 to 10 herein are threatening him and his family and preventing them from attending the Chithirai Thiruvizha in their village temple.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the festival was over in the said temple [i.e., the period of festival celebration was from
15.05.2025 to 21.05.2025] and now the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.
5. The facts reveals that the temple festival was already over and hence, nothing survives for further adjudication and no relief can be granted by this Court at this stage. Therefore, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed, if any.
