ORDER
The Criminal Revision Petition has been filed challenging the orders passed by the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate,
Cheyyur in C.M.P.No.455 of 2023, dated 23.05.2023, dismissing the petition filed for return of Car viz., Gramde Punto Evo 12 Fire Dy bearing Registration No.TN 11 U 3298.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the said vehicle was seized in connection with Crime No.56 of 2023 on the file of the Chunambedu Police Station, Chengalpattu registered for the offences under Sections 4(1)(a) of the Tamilnadu Prohibition Act, 1937.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learend Government Advocate (Crl. side) contended that that proceedings have been initiated under Section 14(4) of the Tamilnadu Prohibition Act, 1937 on 05.07.2023.
4. Since confiscation proceedings have already been initiated, the present Criminal Revision Petition stands dismissed. 14.07.2023 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-Speaking order vum
