O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2016.

2.The petitioner joined service as Sub Inspector of Police in the year 2000. She was promoted as Inspector of Police on 04.08.2012. Based on certain allegations, the second respondent issued with an order of suspension dated 01.09.2012, by omitting her name in the promoted post of Inspector of Police. She filed W.P.No.29123 of 2012 before this Court to quash the order of suspension. According to the petitioner, during the pendency of the Writ Petition, the second respondent revoked the order of suspension on 02.10.2015 and permitted her to join duty as Sub Inspector of Police instead of Inspector of Police. It is his further contention that she made a representation to the first respondent on 19.03.2016 but till date no orders have been passed and hence, the Writ Petition has been filed. 3.Mr.S.Vijayakumar, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if her representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is directed to be considered and appropriate orders are passed as expeditiously as possible.

4.Mr.K.V.Dhanapalan, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has got no serious objection for directing the first respondent, who is the competent authority to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the first respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.03.2016, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
