Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant appointment to the petitioner in a suitable post on compassionate ground by considering his representation dated 27.12.2016 within time frame.

ORDER

The petitioner has applied with the respondent for being appointed on compassionate ground on account of the death of his father on 24.09.2016. It appears that the representation has also been submitted on 27.12.2016. Despite the same, the petitioner has not been appointed on a compassionate ground. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's mother had sent a representation dated 18.09.2019. The petitioner has also submitted a No Objection Certificate from his siblings. However, till date the respondents were not considered the case of the petitioner for being appointed on compassionate ground.

3.The respondents are therefore directed to consider the application/representation of the petitioner, for being appointed on compassionate grounds, and dispose the same, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible to be appointed in terms of G.O.Ms.No.18, Labour and Employment (Q1) Department, dated 23.01.2020. Such exercise shall be carried out by the respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
