ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking compensation of Rs.10 Lakh for the belated deposit made by the respondents.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 & 2. There is no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is inclined to pass orders on merits.
3. It is seen that the petitioner availed loan by pledging the NSC Bond with the first respondent. During COVID-19, the NSC Bond matured and there was a delay of 60 days. After adjusting the loan amount, the first respondent was making deposits. The first respondent was not able to run the bank due to COVID-19 pandemic circumstances. Therefore, there was a delay.
4. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner seeking compensation cannot be considered. Thus, the writ
petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
