Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records of the respondent pertaining to proceedings in Na Ka No.4293/2014/Ku dated 10.11.2014 published in Forest Department Notification, District Forest Office, Villupuram Forest Division, Villupuram, in so far as item No.4 of Thindivanam Forest Range for 40.00 hectares in V.Mathur lake and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent herein to issue allotment order in favour of V.Mathur Panchayat for the tress in 40.00 hectares in V.Mathur lake as per the price fixed by the Forest Department.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petition was filed by the President of V.Mathur Village Panchayat, challenging the order passed by the respondent in Na Ka No.4293/2014/Ku dated 10.11.2014, insofar as item No.4 of Thindivanam Forest Range for 40.00 hectares in V.Mathur Lake and quash the same. He further submitted that there is a change of guard in the V.Mathur Village Panchayat and the present

president is not interested in prosecuting the writ petition. Recording the same, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
