O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by V. Dhanapalan, J.) This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 19.09.2014 and reminder dated 12.01.2015 for the issuance of community certificate to the petitioner and her husband Kumar and their children viz. K. Lohith and K.Rishikesh that they belong to "Kurumans (ST) Community" based upon the community certificate already issued to the petitioner's blood relative.

2. Heard Mr.V.Elangovan learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R. Rajeswaran learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

When the matter is taken up today for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would make a plea that the application submitted by the petitioner is pending from 19.09.2014 and therefore, a direction may be issued to the respondent to consider the same. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that a reasonable time may be granted to the respondent to consider petitioner's application.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, without adverting into the merits of the case, we direct the respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner dated 19.09.2014 in accordance with law, afford an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
