The petitioner had given an application before the second respondent, namely the Revenue Divisional Officer at North Chennai on 25.05.2022, taking advantage of the relevant provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

2. A direction is given to the second respondent to immediately process the said application filed on 25.05.2022, issue notice to the contesting respondents and hear the matter and pass necessary orders on or before 28.02.2023. If the petitioner seeks further relief, he may approach the second respondent for appropriate relief, pending hearing of the matter.

3. Stating as above, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.No. 19158 of 2022, is closed. 12.01.2023 Index: Yes/no mrn 2/4
