Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus, to call for the entire records of the respondent in Goods Detention Notice No.0227/14-15, dated 5.3.2015 and quash the order passed therein and direct the respondent to release the detained goods of the petitioner along with the vehicle bearing Registration No. TN 29 AV 5252.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus to call for the records in respect of the Goods Detention Notice dated 5.3.2015, to quash the same and further to direct the respondent to release the detained goods of the petitioner along with the vehicle bearing Registration No. TN 29 AV 5252.

2. According to the petitioner, he is a dealer in edible oil and registered dealer under the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act.

3. Mr.Cibi Vishnu, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.

4. Learned counsel on either side represented that in similar circumstances this court by order dated 13.02.2015

disposed of the writ petitions in W.P.Nos.3771 to 3773 of 2015, by directing the respondent to release the goods on payment of tax.

5. In these circumstances, following the order passed in W.P.Nos.3771 to 3773 of 2015, the respondent is directed to release the goods on payment of tax.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
