The writ petitioner herein is a driver in a private transport company. He has caused an accident on 01.05.2019, causing death of one lady by name Pongavanam. So criminal action has been taken against the petitioner and also the driving license was seized for cancellation of his driving license. Hence, he has approached this Court by way of writ petition.

2. After notice, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents says that after issuing show cause notice and receiving the explanation of the petitioner dated 12.06.2019, proper enquiry was conducted by the Regional Transport Officer, Krishnagiri under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The second respondent has passed an order of temporary suspending the driving license of the petitioner from 01.05.2019 to 31.10.2019 and also directed the petitioner to undergo refreshment course in IRT for two days. order, the petitioner has already preferred the statutory appeal before the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Vellore and the said appeal is pending before him.

3. In such circumstances, it is suffice to direct the appellate authority (i.e.) the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Vellore to dispose of the petitioner's appeal within a period of 15 days from today.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
