By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims that he is in possession and enjoyment of the Government Natham Poramboke land, admeasuring to an extent of 875 sq.ft., in Survey No.583/8 at Seerpananthal village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District and he made a request to the respondents 2 and 3 for issuance of patta and since no response is forthcoming, he made a representation to the Principal Secretary/Commissioner for Revenue Administration, Chepauk, Chennai-5, who in turn, requested the District Collector, Villupuram, to take action on the representation and the Office of the District Collector, in turn, directed the 3rd respondent to take appropriate order, vide Memo dated 08.02.2016 and since no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
orders have been passed, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 3rd respondent to take note of the Memo dated 08.02.2016 in O.Mu.Aa.8/990/2016 and pass orders on the application/representation submitted by the petitioner grant of patta in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
