Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 22.01.2024 and 05.02.2024 and thereby direct the first respondent to confirm the road comes under which respondents department and thereafter, direct the respondents to maintain the road in a good condition runs from Uzhavankottai to Noolahalli by laying tar road. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) After having pointed out that the road from Uzhavankottai to Noolahalli is full of potholes and hence, not motorable vide representations dated 22.01.2024 and 05.02.2024 addressed to the second respondent and first respondent, respectively, and finding no response for the same, this writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representations and to maintain the subject road in a good condition.

Mr. A. Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second and first respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 22.01.2024 and 05.02.2024, respectively, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
