PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to de-freeze the petitioner's Savings Bank Account bearing No.449602010208401, after withholding the sum of Rs.2,100/- based on petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2026.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the 4th respondent to de-freeze the petitioner's Savings Bank Account bearing No.449602010208401 maintained with the 4th respondent bank. 2.The petitioner is having a Savings Bank Account bearing No.449602010208401 with the Union Bank of India, Bhoomikuppam Branch, Tirupattur District, the 4th respondent herein. Upon the instructions of the 5th respondent, the 4th respondent has frozen the petitioner's Savings Account and it did not permit the petitioner to operate his account. 3.Learned counsel for the 4th respondent submits that even as per the request of the 5th respondent, the amount which was allegedly transferred into the account of the petitioner is only Rs.2,100/-. However, on instructions, the

learned counsel submits that the petitioner can be permitted to operate his Saving Account for the remaining amount.

4.In view of the above, the 4th respondent is hereby directed to de-freeze the Savings Bank Account of the petitioner forthwith and permit the petitioner to operate his Savings Bank Account bearing No.449602010208401 maintained with them, on condition to withhold a sum of Rs.2,100/- in his account. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
