ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Velmurugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner is seeking for a direction to the 4th respondent to dispose of the petitioner's patta transfer application dated 08.02.2014 seeking for patta transfer pertaining to the property of punja land in comprising survey No.59/1 measuring 1.60 acre vide Patta No.79 and comprising survey no.23/2D measuring 5.50 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

acre vide patta No.81 and comprising survey No.23/2C, Well vide Common patta No.355, situated at Soraiyapattu village, Thirukoivilur Taluk, Villupuram District within Registration District of Villupuram, Sub-Registration District of Manalurpet, within a stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

3. The petitioner's application for grant of patta has been forwarded to the District Collector, Villupuram District, the 1st respondent herein by the Tahsildar, Tirukovilur, vide proceedings dated 13.01.2015.

4. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, there will be a direction to the 4th respondent / Tahsildar, Thirukovilur, to consider the petitioner's application dated 08.02.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
