Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue family card to the petitioner, viz., S.Sureshkumar, son of Sekar, residing at Kaniyamur Kaikati, Kaniyamur village and Post, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District as per the applications of the petitioner dated 10.02.2011 in application No.619 of 2011 and representation dated 26.12.2014.

Heard Mr.P.Rajavel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner ; and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider their applications as well as representation for the issue of family card. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The petitioner applied to the 2nd respondent for the issue of ration cards. Since nothing was forthcoming, the petitioner sent application dated 10.02.2011 and representation dated 26.12.2014 to various officials including the 2nd respondent. Since they did not evoke any response, the petitioner is before this Court. 4.Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 10.02.2011 and also the representation dated 26.12.2014 on merits and take appropriate action after conducting an enquiry, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
