Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.04.2026 within the time frame and direct the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department officials with regard to conduct of festival in Arulmigu Sri Draupathi Amman Alayam, Marakkanam, Marakkanam Taluk, Villupuram District and pass appropriate orders.

Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for respondents 1 and 4. Mr.L.S.M.Hasan Fizal, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 5 and 6.
2. The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2026. Page Nos.3/7
3. According to the petitioner, Arulmigu Sri Draupathi Amman Thirukovil, Marakkanam, is under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. Earlier, the petitioner moved this Court in W.P.No.14404 of 2025 seeking consideration of his representation regarding the customary rights, which was exercised by her father and the said writ petition was disposed of with the observation that the petitioner has already filed an application for framing a scheme for the temple and the customary right, if any available to the petitioner, will be taken care of in the said application pending before the competent authority.
While disposing of the said writ petition, this Court also observed that if the petitioner wants to become an Ubayatharar for festivals in the temple, he can always approach the Fit person for the purpose of contribution. Now the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondent Fit person not to permit various persons to act as Ubayatharar for the temple festival without any order and therefore, he requested the official respondents to implement the order passed by this Court in the earlier writ petition.
4. Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader would submit that, if the petitioner wants to contribute for the temple Page Nos.4/7
festival as Ubayatharar, it is always open to him to approach the fourth respondent and make his contribution. He also submitted that if any contribution is made by the petitioner for the performance of a particular day function in the temple, necessary receipt will be issued for having received the contribution. The said statement made by the learned Special Government Pleader is recorded.
In view of the above statement, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition and the same is disposed of, accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
