Mr.Abdul Saleem takes Notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent and taking into account the age of the petitioner, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal during the time of admission.
2. The petitioner is the widow of Thiru M.Krishnan, who worked as Record Clerk in Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Chennai. The husband of the petitioner died on 21.4.1999. The petitioner received a letter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
from the second respondent on 19.02.2004, calling upon her to produce the original Death Certificate issued by the Municipality. Even though the petitioner submitted such Certificate, nothing was heard thereafter. In the mean time, the daughter of the petitioner also died on 1.10.2008. According to the petitioner, she made a representation on 23.12.2014, requesting the respondents to intervene in the matter. Since there was no follow up action taken by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 23.12.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
