ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 420, 468, 465, 471 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.2514 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused persons persons received a sum of Rs.62,50,000/- from the defacto complainant for securing MBBS Seat under NRI Quota. When the defacto complainant asked to return his money, the petitioner along with other accused persons abused the defacto complainant and threatened him. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and hence, the learned counsel prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that investigation is still pending. Therefore, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the allegation levelled against the petitioner is serious in nature and the case is in the initial stage of the investigation and that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
