..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2015 and 14.03.2016 and reminder dated 01.04.2016 for grant separate patta in favour of the petitioner in Survey No.274/22, 274/23 (Old No.91/9) Pattalam Village, Maduranthakam Panchayat Union, Madurantakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District admeasuring 8964 Sq.ft., within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to have purchased vacant land from A.Yuvaraj and A.Ramesh Babu, admeasuring to an extent of 8964 sq.ft., situated in Survey Nos.274/22, 274/23 [Old No.91/9], Pattalam Village, Maduranthakam Panchayat Union,

Maduranthakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District through a registered Sale Deed bearing document No.1515/2010 registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Maduranthakam. The petitioner, after the said purchase, applied for patta and though Patta No.256 dated 13.05.2010 was issued in her favour, it did not contain the name of the petitioner. Therefore, again she submitted a representation/application dated 13.10.2015 for transfer of patta in her favour to the 4th respondent as well as to the jurisdictional Village Administrative Officer. The petitioner has also submitted several reminders praying for transfer of patta. The 3rd respondent vide notice dated 11.12.2015 directed the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 29.12.2015 and that she appeared and vide proceedings dated 16.12.2015, the 2nd respondent has also directed the 4th respondent to take necessary action with regard to the application submitted by the petitioner for transfer of patta and since no orders have been passed, she came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 4th respondent to act on the communications of the 2nd respondent dated 16.12.2015 in Na.Ka.No.28025/2015-N.4 and dated 13.01.2016 and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the person/s concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the person/s concerned. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
