ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation date 10.06.2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2.It is stated by the petitioner that he was appointed as Conductor on 11.02.1989 by the respondent-Transport Corporation. He has been working as Conductor for the past 26 years under the respondent-Transport Corporation. For the past four years, the petitioner has been suffering from corn foot diseased and he is taking treatment for the same at Government M.K.Medical College Hospital, Salem. Due to the said disease, the petitioner made several representations on 10.01.2012, 20.02.2013, 19.06.2013 and 10.06.2014 to the respondent, seeking light duty for him. But, the respondent did not take any action on his representation. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.
4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 10.03.2014 given by the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
