Order The Court made the following order :- The petitioner is the Accused in Crime No. 162 of 2026 of J-1 Saidapet Police Station, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.04.2026 for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 126(2), 1152 (2), 118(1) 190(2), 351
(3) of BNS, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that on 05.04.2025 at about 11 pm, near Kothachavadi Housing Board Bus stop, the petitioner along with others allegedly attached the defacto complainant with a knife due to previous enmity abused and threatened him and caused injured. Based on the hospital antinomian and complaint, the respondent police registered the present case under the above said provisions of law.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. However, he has been arrested and he is languishing in jail from 07..04.2026. Therefore, he prays for grant of bail.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case. He further submitted that the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant and caused severe injuries to him. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances and considering the period of incarceration, and the injured person discharged from hospital, this Court is
inclined to grant bail to the petitioner on certain conditions.
6. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail, on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet and on further conditions that, a)the sureties shall affix their photographs and left thumb impression in the surety bond and the Magistrate/concerned court may obtain a copy of their Aadhar card or Bank Pass Book to ensure their identity; b)the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., for two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation, until further orders;
c)the petitioner shall not tamper with evidence or witness; d)the petitioner shall not abscond during trial; e)On breach of any of the aforesaid conditions, the learned Magistrate/Trial Court is entitled to take appropriate action against the petitioner in accordance with law as if the conditions have been imposed and the
petitioner released on bail by the learned Magistrate/Trial Court himself as laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in P.K.Shaji vs. State of Kerala [(2005)AIR SCW 5560].
f) If the accused thereafter absconds, a fresh FIR can be registered under Section 269 of BNS.

ORDER
The matter is today listed under the caption 'for being mentioned'. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in the
first paragraph of the order dated 07.05.2026 made in Crl.O.P.No.11920 of 2026, inadvertently, the Sections of Law has been wrongly mentioned as '191(2), 191(3), 126(2), 1152(2), 118(1), 190(2), 351(3) of BNS' instead of '191(2), 191(3), 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109(2), 351(3) of BNS', and prayed for appropriate orders. The learned counsel also prayed to extend the time to comply with the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.11920 of 2026 dated 07.05.2026.
3.In view of the above, the first paragraph of the order dated 07.05.2026 made in Crl.O.P.No.11920 of 2026, is to be read as follows: "The petitioner is the Accused in Crime No.
162 of 2026 of J-1 Saidapet Police Station, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.04.2026 for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109(2), 351(3) of BNS, seeks bail."
4.Time to comply with the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No. 11920 of 2026 dated 07.05.2026 is extended by a further period of two weeks. 5.Registry is directed to carry out the necessary corrections and re-issue copy of the order to the respective learned counsel appearing for the parties. 14-05-2026
