the second respondent to comply with the directions contained in the order dated 09.01.2020 in W.P.No.34099 of 2019 etc., by redrawing the provisional selection list dated 20.11.2019 by first drawing a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Written Examination held on 28.09.2019 pursuant to the Notification No.10/2019 dated 12.06.2019 irrespective of the community to which the candidates belong and fill up 67 posts of Post Graduate Assistant in the subject Chemistry in the general turn constituting 31% of 356 vacancies and thereafter fill up the backlog vacancies and thereafter fill up the current vacancies in the post of Post Graduate Assistants in the subject Chemistry as per Section 27 (f) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.

Prayer in W.P.No.11904 of 2021 : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to forthwith comply with the order of this Court dated 09.01.2020 in W.P.No.34099 of 2019 etc and issue a fresh provisional selection list for the post of PG Assistants in Chemistry as per the guidelines given by this Court by including the names of the petitioners who have secured 84 marks in MBC Category in the said provisional selection list and issue appointment orders to the petitioners for the post of PG Assistants in Chemistry coming under the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Educational Service pursuant to Notification No.10 of 2019 dated 12.06.2019.

2. Heard Ms.C.Uma, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.K.Surendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for R1 and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Standing Counsel for R2.

3. When the matters were taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the relief sought in these Writ Petitions have become infructuous and nothing survives for further consideration in these Writ Petitions.

4. In view of the same, these Writ Petitions are dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
