PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned order of the first respondent in Order No.01/2022PER-DTE-P2DA23-PER-DG dated 15.07.2022 and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned and direct the first respondent to retain the petitioner 1/4
in the present station itself namely, Chennai in the light of the orders passed by this Court in S.Dakshinamurthy Vs The Inspector General of Police, Southern Sector, Hyderabad in W.A.No.1273 of 2017 dated 25.10.2017. ORDER
The order of transfer dated 15.07.2022, transferring the petitioner, who was holding the post of Constable from RTC-AVD to 001-BN, is put under challenge in this writ petition.

The respondents have filed counter affidavit, in which, they have stated that pursuant to the second respondent's message, the first respondent had cancelled the impugned transfer order of the petitioner through Proceedings dated 13.09.2022 and permitted the petitioner to retain in the second respondent's office itself till Summer Chain Transfer-2023 on medical grounds.
3. In view of the above, the prayer sought for in the present writ petition, has become infructuous.

At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the petitioner is undergoing severe medical ailments and he is contemplating to submit his voluntary retirement in the year 2025, a sympathetic approach may be taken by the respondents to retain him in the same station till the end of 2025.
5. Such a request is the outside scope of the present writ petition. Nevertheless in view of the medical ailments stated by the petitioner, liberty is hereby granted to the petitioner to make appropriate application before the first respondent herein, ventilating his grievance and on receipt of such application, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass orders.
