O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S.No.11023 of 2010 pending on the file of the XV Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.

2. The suit in O.S.No.11023 of 2010 was originally presented as C.S.No.985 of 2001 on the file of the original side of this Court. Thereafter, on enhancement of pecuniary jurisdiction, the said suit was transferred to the file of the City Civil Court, Chennai. The suit had been dismissed for default on 02.06.2011 and restored on 05.08.2021.

3. The Civil Revision Petitioner pleading that the suit had been pending for more than two decades, she has moved the present revision, seeking for a direction for expeditious disposal.

4. When the matter came up before me, I called for a report as to how long the learned XV Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, would require to

dispose of the suit. The learned Judge has sent a report on 08.08.2024.

5. Considering the circumstances she has stated in the report, I am inclined to give a direction to the learned XV Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.11023 of 2010, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
