Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection from the respondents 3 to 9 to the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 24.02.2021 and 02.03.2021.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the petitioner from the respondents 3 to 9, on the basis of the petitioner's complaints dated 24.02.2021 and 02.03.2021.

2. The petitioner sent complaints to the second respondent/ Inspector of Police, Muthaliyarpet Police Station on 24.02.2021 and 02.03.2021 seeking police protection, but no action has been taken so far. Hence, the above petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) has submitted that it is a civil dispute and the petitioner had earlier filed a private complaint for the same cause of action. He further submitted that the petitioner sent a representation to the second respondent/Inspector of Police, Muthaliyarpet Police Station, but the place of occurrence not falls within the jurisdiction of the second respondent. Hence, if the petitioner give a complaint to the T.Nagar Police Station, they will take appropriate action.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to give a complaint to the T-Nagar Police Station along with relevant documents and in turn, they are directed to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
