This petition has been filed to grant bail to the petitioner pending trial on the file of the Special Court for POCSO Cases, Tiruvannamalai at Tiruvannamalai District.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner committed aggravated penetrative sexual assault against the victim girl and also murdered by strangling her neck with shawl. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case as he murdered the victim girl. Further, he has been in custody for more than 272 days. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the petitioner kidnapped the victim girl and committed penetrative sexual assault against her and murdered by strangling her neck with shawl. Further, he stated that trial has begun. However, raised objection to grant bail.

4. On seeing the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 28.06.2024 pbl
