ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct respondents 1 and 2 herein to give Police protection to the petitioner to construct a compound wall and the permanent shed for his cattles in his property situated in S.No.228 of an extent of 4.96 Acres in Denkanikottai, which was registered in favour of the petitioner by Document No.1194/1985, Denkanikottai, peacefully without any let and hindrance from the third respondent and his gang.

2. On a reading of the materials available on record, it is seen that it was a civil dispute between the parties. Already, the father of the petitioner also filed a suit in O.S.No.361 of 2021 before the Sub-Court, Denkanikottai. Now, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the direction as stated above. Since it is a civil dispute between the parties, this Court cannot give any direction to the Police to give Police protection, unless, the 2 / 4

right, title and interest between the parties had been established before the competent Civil Court. Hence, this petition is dismissed. It is for the petitioner to work out his remedy before the competent Civil Court. 16.06.2025 cs To
