ORDER

Heard Mr.N.Damodaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials avilable on record. With the consent on either side, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final dispoal at the admission stage.

The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the second respondent to dispose of the Revision Petition dated 25.11.2013 submitted by the petitioner, wherein the petitioner as sought for setting aside the order passed by the District Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram dated 30.10.2013.

It is seen that the first respondent vide Letter No.486097LD3(2)/2013-6, dated 21.07.2014, has requested the second respondent to hear the petitioner in person in respect of the request made for assignment of the land. The operative portion of the direction issued is as follows:- " ....5. In the light of the R.S.O.15-15, the revision petition of Thiru Sunil Kumar, Chennai against the orders of District Revenue Officer, Kancheepruam District should go to Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration for hearing the individual representation in person and pass orders on merits.

6. In view of the position stated above, I am directed to request you to hear the petitioner in person in respect of assignment of 5 acres of punja lands situated at Alappakam Village, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District and pass order in accordance with the merits and law" .... 4.

In the light of the above, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to take note of the letter sent by the first respondent dated 21.07.2014 referred supra and hear the petitioner in person and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
