Heard Mr.S.Arivazhagan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Jothikumar, learned counsel for the first respondent and Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned counsel for the second respondent. With the consent of either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for a issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to enable the petitioner to get Sewer/Water connection in the property situated at New door No.43, Old Door No.24, Parameshwari Nagar, 1st street, Adyar, Chennai - 20 based on the application No.SA 2086 WA 2763 dated 27.06.2014 given by the petitioner to the 1st respondent within the stipulated period.
3.In respect of the request made by the petitioner for grant of water and sewerage connection, the Respondent-Board/1st respondent has addressed the same to the Corporation of Chennai/ 2nd respondent seeking permission for cutting road vide communication dated 13.02.2015. The Corporation of Chennai vide communication dated 27.02.2015 granted permission to the Respondent-Board for cutting the road, subject to three conditions. The petitioner would state that thereafter, there is no progress.

In the light of the permission granted by the 2nd Respondent/ the Corporation of Chennai to the 1st Respondent/Board to cut the road, the 1st respondent is directed to proceed further with the work after collecting necessary charges from the petitioner as per law and effect the communication to the petitioner's premises within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of a order, if there is no legal impediment.
5. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
