The prayer in the present Criminal Original Petition is to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.643 of 2019 pending on the file of the VII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai. 2.When the Criminal Original Petition was pending, the learned counsel for the petitioners had offered to settle the outstanding amount to the second respondent herein. On that ground, the petitioners were given adequate opportunity. Finally, when the matter was listed on 22.11.2019, the learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
counsel for the petitioners submitted that the second petitioner met with an accident and therefore expressed difficulty to mobilize the funds for the purpose of settling the outstanding amount to the 2nd respondent. Accordingly, the petitioner was granted further time and the matter was directed to be posted today under the caption "for orders".
3.Today, there is no representation for the petitioners. 4.Since the charge sheet is pending from 21.03.2018 onwards, this Court is not inclined to grant any further opportunity to the petitioners. The Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. The trial Court shall endeavour to complete the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
