ORDER

Heard Mr. K.A.S.Ravichandran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Venkateswamy Babu, learned Senior Panel Counsel, Government of India, accepting notice on behalf of the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for a writ of mandamus to direct to conduct proper enquiry and issue passport to the petitioner vide Application File No.G 6687885 which is pending, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2015. 3.In the said representation, the petitioner has stated that there is difference of opinion between himself and his wife and they are not living separately and certain proceedings have been initiated by his wife against him. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner's wife, the authorities have impounded the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

passport, which according to the petitioner, was done without any order from any Court. Further, it is submitted that the petitioner is working as a driver in Singapore and if he does not return to Singapore before his Visa Period is over, the petitioner will lose his job. Therefore, a representation has been made by the petitioner to the respondent to reconsider and to lift the order of impounding his passport, to enable him to travel to Singapore. 4.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, there will be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
