ORDER

The petitioner seeks for the following relief: "directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 seeking extension of time to change the name boards of the shops to display the name board in Tamil."

2. When the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner pleaded that on account of financial constraints, they were not in a position to erect the display boards in Tamil. Hence, the petitioner Association made a representation dated 19.03.2025, and as the same has not been disposed of, the petitioner association has come up with the above Writ Petition.

3. Mr. R.V. Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and third respondents, submitted that the representation dated 19.03.2025 will be disposed of within a period of four (4) weeks from today. The said statement is recorded.

4. I have heard Mr. Vijayan Subramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R.V. Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 3, and Mr. D.B.R. Prabhu, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

5. It is made clear that till the disposal of the representation, no coercive steps will be taken against the members of the petitioner's association for not displaying the boards in Tamil.
