Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent dated 28.10.2020 in D.O.No.117/2020-C2 against the petitioner Son Kasim, Male aged 24 years, S/o.Sabi Bhasha, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner is the father of the detenu - Kasim, S/o Sabi Bhasha aged about 24 years. The detenu has been detained by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the second respondent by his order in D.O.No.117/2020-C2 dated 28.10.2020, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.198 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 11.01.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
